Noticing Joy Everywhere

In a quote by William Morris, "Not on one strand are all life's jewels strung." In this, I take it to mean that happiness isn’t found only looking in one direction. Many people seek happiness through their career, their possessions, their vacations, their looks, their accomplishments, their family, or in their friends, and happiness can indeed be found in all of those areas. However, you’d miss out on many of life’s delights if you don’t stop to notice them coming from all of these different areas within your life. If you stay so focused on one particular goal, you can easily fail to see the moments of joy that pop up where you’d least expect it.

"Not on one strand are all life's jewels strung."

~ William Morris
